Privacy Policy

Taylor Trips PTE. LTD. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Oddysee mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally a profile photo. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email associated with that account.

Profile information: Date of birth, gender, preferred currency, and travel preferences you provide during onboarding.

Trip data: Trip names, destinations, dates, itinerary items, map markers, chat messages, and expense records you create within the App.

Payment information: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) via RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your credit card or payment details. We receive a confirmation of your subscription status.

Device information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and performance monitoring.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To provide the App's core features: trip planning, expense tracking, itinerary management, and group collaboration
  • To display your profile to travel companions within shared trips
  • To process and manage your subscription
  • To improve the App and fix bugs
  • To send important account-related communications (e.g. password resets)

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Your travel companions: Other users you invite to a trip can see your display name, avatar, and shared trip data (expenses, itinerary, chat messages, map markers).
  • Service providers: We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
    • Supabase — database hosting and authentication
    • RevenueCat — subscription management
    • Google Maps Platform — maps and place search
    • Apple / Google — authentication (Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In)
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement row-level security policies to ensure users can only access data they are authorised to view.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data via the App
  • Update your profile information at any time
  • Delete your account and all associated data from within the App (Profile > Delete Account)

When you delete your account, we remove your profile data, avatar, and disassociate your records. Shared trip data that other users depend on (e.g. expenses within a group) may be retained in anonymised form.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data promptly. Anonymised or aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
